What do I want for xmas?

New knees, but nobody seems to be able to get me those. I never know what I want for xmas and birthdays, it always feels like a yawning gap that I might fall into.

The only things I've asked for are the usual stuff like body lotion and handcream, but I can't think of anythng else, or not that anyone is going to actually buy me.

Suggestions welcome, but what about you lot, what do you want and do you think you have any chance of getting it?

  • The only thing I want is the thing I didn't know I needed, but that seems a big ask! If people ask me what I want, I have no idea. Book tokens are the only thing I can ever think of. A bottle of wine used to be a good bet,but I don't really drink much any more.

    I hate receiving the kind of landfill present that someone has clearly bought because they couldn't think of anything.

    My siblings and I do a secret Santa type thing, including our wives and husband to avoid the necessity to buy everyone a present. Cuts four gifts down to one.

    We do this too, I have 4 siblings, plus both parents so it makes it a lot easier, plus then the budget is bigger for one decent present, and you can say what you want too. One year we made something instead, I made a gingerbread house, but that idea was short lived at too much effort!
