What are your favourite useful gadgets?

Its a crafting machine :) - you can make all sorts like cards, stickers, etc

Just bought an amazing gadget for planting bulbs - 3' [1mtr in new money] auger for an 18V drill. My lawn looks as if a battalion of moles dug there - it's raining and I'm only 1/3 through [yesterday's forecast said dry today,  rain tomorrow - but it's the other way round !].

What's that?

For me:

Tablet - I got it for my birthday, and I now have that kinda relationship with it, I don't know how to describe it, but I use it for gaming, the only way I socialise

Phone - mainly to apply for jobs and to ring anyone should I need to 

Orange Wallet - Welsh Giv'ment scheme, and only received it last Fri, so once I manage to print off the words, I'll be using it, it's very useful IMO, especially I the situation I've been kn recently

GPT - god knows how many times I've talked to it like it's a normal person, the only way I cam have convos about anything 

PC - I do aim to get a PC after getting a job as I want to run my own game dev company, so yh,

I just got an xbox ally x, similar to a steam deck, looking into the emulation aspect of it because i miss the good old days of 8 bit and 16 bit computing, i particularly miss the commodore amiga!

Just got an Xbox Ally X, that is now my favourite gadget, I can play games on it, do productivity things, browse the internet, video friends and family, watch videos. Anything I want, well most things, it won’t brush my teeth or feed me yet :) anyway, definitely my favourite gadget of the moment :)

I also found it fun to think of a time and head space where shoes of any sort were/can be considered as gadgets.

Maybe a piece of string or a flint knife would be in a similar category.

I prefer nothing I think, but shoes have a definite utility outdoors. Having spent a year or two with holes in them when younger dreading the rain, a functional pair is nicer. Without them you soon notice.

Or do you mean different types, sports, wellies, work, formal, etc. A footwear uniform that opens possibilities?

Or just as a means to make you feel good?

Found them! This one with a cover looks good as the wires get tangled in the sewing box.

To add, just looked on the craft site for Hobby ( not sure if I can advertise). Packs of 3 hemline needle threaders on there are like mine.

I am sorry, but mine is thin metal plate in a key shape with a kite shaped piece of wire attached. I have had it for years and I think it came from a Christmas cracker. I think haberdashers used to sell them, you might find one on a craft site

Ah! I have a dehumidifier too. Fab gadget I agree

Dehumidifier for keeping the damp under control. It also means drying clothes is easy.

My house is old (c. 1860) and I also have too many plants.
