Perils of changing a duvet cover

My heart sinks every time I change a duvet cover. I swear duvets have malicious AI inside, with instructions to turn inside out, the wrong way around or bunch in one corner. I tried approaching the duvet with caution, cover inside out, then quickly 'flip' it over. Then I discover the long side is on the short side.. Any one have insider information?

  • The opening on the duvet cover is always on the short side in my experience so that simplifies things.

    I do locate the label on the duvet and the first time round measure the duvet to establish which is the long side and write on the label if it is on the long or short side.

    Now you the orientation of both so is just a matter of grabbing the corners that match and slipping the duvet in.
