Hi
I'm just introducing myself. I'm a parent of someone diagnosed in Aoril (aged 15) with ASD, sensory processing, and anxiety. Overall, we've had a lot of support from education, nhs, etc, although it's been a slow process. The person in question was home educated, now at college. Im looking forward to chatting, helping others if I can, and getting advice too. What has struck me recently about them is that, outside of their safe spaces, day to day life is a lot of work for them, and it's somehow easy for me to forget that. I hope being part of this community will form part of a support network as they navigate college and beyond. (And it really is navigating a challenging landscape a lot of the time!) Anyway, hi all. I hope i can be of help in a small way.
