What Do You Like To Do?

Hi everyone, Matthew here with a fun post.

I've had a long day discussing my problems with very helpful members of this community. And now as the days coming to a close I thought it would be nice if we all said what our favourite things are. I'll go first:

What I like to do is:

I like to listen to really good music, some of the singers are, Belinda Carlisle, Michael Jackson, The Spice Girls, The Traveling Wilburys and many others. I also like to play on my computer one of my favourite computer games is Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare and The Sims 2 and 3, I love playing with my figures, I love watching Doctor Who and I love watching great dvds with my dad.

Those are some of my favourite things, what are yours? Laughing

  • I'm a photographer, basically of nature, and at present I've been taking photos of the birds and squirrels that have visited our bird feeders in the garden. It's been fun identifying all of the birds that visit and I'm always on the lookout for new varieties. The rarest I've seen so far have been the Great Spotted Woodpecker, and a new visitor, a blackcap.

I have a great interest in most things Japanese, from anime (Japanese animation), and my favourite so far has been Naruto Shippuden, the music (in which I've listen to Yui, NICO Touches the Walls, Aqua Timez, UNLIMITS, Supercell, to name several), I've learnt a bit of Japanese history (and a bit of Chinese as well, from the video games Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors to name a couple, lol). I can tell without a shadow of a doubt that if I were able to cope with going to Japan (in my dreams, -_-), I would never have enough time to experience everything I'd wish to see and do in one visit, Frown. I may not know the language, but I want to learn, and I am trying, little by little, but it's not easy.

At the moment, my biggest addiction is in video games, Laughing. I've been playing Divinity: Original Sin over Christmas. I have a big interest in RPG games, from Final Fantasy, Dragon Age, and Dungeon Siege, to name a few.

I've begun learning to play the keyboard, as I've always wanted to learn to play the songs I've listened to in the anime and games I've watched and played.

  • I'm really passionate about music as well. I love collecting records from various eras and different types of music. And of course I love listening to them as well ;-) My music obsession got me into my other obsession of graphics and design – I always loved studying record covers and that taught me a lot about visual aesthetics. Now I like creating artworks and graphics myself.

  • Reading - at present a lot of psychology and medical matters (being on waiting list for diagnosis seems to have triggered a rather unhealthy level of self-obsession!). Cats. Cars. Outdoor pursuits. DIY. Generally like fixing things.

  • Hiya,

Obviously joining in a bit late here.....My fave things to do are being with my animals: cat, netherland dwarf rabbit, hamsters, gerbils, dwarf hamsters and guinea-pigs. i also love visiting wildlife sanctuary's with otters and owls and lions, polar bears, tigers, leopards, the list is endless. • Hey I like Lana del reys song blue jeans and west coast. The Paramore set was good, but I didn't like the singers hair. I loved watching Arcade Fire, they were amazing! I liked their costumes.

Thank you for your advice about writing a book, I'm not sure if it would be fun for me. I think I need to read some more books first. I have started reading comics, I have read the Zatanna book written by Paul Dini, I loved it so much. At the moment I have a book called Air the history of the future, but I'm not sure if I like it yet. I love listening to music with my speakers on. I have a kobo but I haven't used it much. I don't have a cat because my dad has an allergy. I don't really have time for animals but I like the idea of cats sleeping. I havn't heard of those shows before, but I prefer comedy.

  • i love spending endless hours listening to music on my mp3 player, and reading my Kindle. i also love watching my beautiful female cat sleeping. also watching my tv shows

like the blacklist, Arrow, Nikita, Unforgettable, the mentalist, and NCIS.

  •  hi zatanna my top three `lana del rey songs. ride, national anthem, west coast.i also watched the reading festival was annoyed i missed the paramore set.

i loved biffy clyro set at t in the park, and arcade fires slot at glastonbury. My book has a title, but i have just finished writing it by pen and a a 4 binder, then it will needed to be proof read for mistakes typos, and then i will decide whether i want it published as it was written for one person, my self. if it gets published i will be pleased. It isnt easy work, but you have to concentrate, do research, structure, theme of book, chapter titles. Also most of all you need to read ,read, read,.learn from different authors. yes it also has to be fun, if it stops being fun.Pull back take a break and then continue . my books theme is cycling and life. it is about my road back to recovery from a serious bike crash, and the three operations that followed and my life as well. wear a helmet always. otherwise if i hadnt been that day, i wouldnt be writing this post.p.s i love dc comics and my favourite is mr bruce wayne.hope that helps.

  • Hey hey, well i hope that subject helps with what I like to do. I am a pretty big gamer guy, been playing ever since I was 3 years old. I also just recently joined this site so now I know WHY i could concentrate on them so clearly when i was only 3 and a half! Anyway, either that or watching some youtube videos till I go to sleep for work.

  • I don't think I have a favourite book because I am always reading different books, and can't remember them all!. But I read books that follow a similar theme, and they are mainly factual books; so I read about tea, nutrition, mental health and autism. I also sometimes read fiction, and loved the Steig Larsson Girl with the Dragon Tattoo books.

Again, I don't have a favourite film (although it was the Titanic when I was younger), but I do like the Shining - it is very scary!

  • Hi Hope.

I really like them all but I suppose my favourite book ever by Roald Dahl is "Charlie and the great glass elevator". What about you Hope, what is your favourite book?

And what is the best film you have ever seen? Perhaps I have seen it too?

    Thanks for replying. Smile

    Kindest regards,

    Matthew.

  • My pleasure. What is your favourite  Roald Dahl book?

  • Hey Hope!

I absolutely love READING! I read mainly Harry Potter, though Roald Dahl is one of my absolute favourites as well. Your books sound very enjoyable, I might look them up and see if I can get one as well.

I like two Spice Girls songs. They are "two become one" and "viva forever".

I am glad that you enjoy reading my posts, I enjoy writing them. I'm also glad that everybody on this forum is extremely kind and helpful, just like you Hope. Wink

    Thanks for replying Hope.

    Kindest regards,

    Matthew.

  • I like reading, and am currently reading two books: one is called Mad, Bad, and Sad, a History of Women and the Mind Doctors, from the 1800s to the present; and the second is a book about Nutrition - another special interest of mine, other than autism and mental health.

I used to love the Spice Girls when they were at their peak. What is your favourite Spice Girl song?

I really enjoy reading your posts Matthew!

  • Thanks for taking part in this post.

I also like Sinead's music. My favourite song that she sung was "nothing compares to you", not sure if you've heard it or not.

    Kindest regards,

    Matthew.

I listen to music and podcasts on my phone. Current favourite is Sinead O'Connor's album "I do not want what I haven't got" I think that the lyrics (e.g. first track "Feel so different") might suggest that she might have aspergers!

Has anyone else listened to this?

  • That sounds like fun. I enjoy reading as well.

    Kindest regards,

    Matthew.
