My Hobby

Hi it's Matthew again.

I just thought I would take out the time to explain my hobby/project. I don't really do any sports and I certainly don't do any outside activity's. I did own a hamster but sadly she passed away two months ago but recently I started to create my own game with a piece of software called Rpg Maker Vx Ace. I'm going to create an adventure game where you get to battle monsters and earn loot and xp. My game has only just begun but I'm certain that my family are going to love it.

I'd love to hear what everyone else does for a hobby. Feel free to comment your hobby's below Laughing

Kind regards,

Matthew.

    I have 3 hobbies:

    - software development - my jobs is writing code, but I also write code for fun. I do a wide variety of things, right now a mix of web stuff (HTML, CSS, JS, Node, Go)  and high performance unix pipeline stuff. (I wrote a script to analyse Wikipedia to count and sort links from wikipedia to the BBC website).  Fun factoid, every page of the BBC website uses code I wrote and I wrote most of the code which powers the iPlayer radio pages (like BBC.co.uk/radio4) the carousel and layout is all stuff I developed. *kinda proud*

    - Lego - normally gearboxes of one kind or another. Right now I enjoy spending time thinking about a 'drivable' bulldozer model. It's going to be my most advanced gearbox so far, with 4 controls and 6 functions ( for those curious. It will have a 2 speed gearbox with tank style tracks with separate direction control for each set of tracks and it will have a 2 function blade mechanism for lifting and tilting. All powered from a single large motor via around 45 gears and shafts)

The third one, I am a little reluctant to mention as I think it might be controversial. I don't know if 'being spaced out' can count as a hobby? I have lots of cool toys and colouring books and stuff. Hiding in my room and playing with the toys or having time where I don't need to speak and can cuddle the lion and the other plushies is something I like.  I think its controversial as it's not 'age appropriate'. I also have a very large chair with a harness to provide compression. Being strapped in there is very nice if socially innapropreate most of the time. Often when guests leave the first thing I so is go and have some time with my chair and the lion.

    Cheers
