Gggrrrm arrgh

It's done it again, I start a search on Amazon and find it's taken me back to a previous but related search WHY, WHY, does it do this? How dare this supposedly unthinking pile of offal, think that it knows what I want, when I've told it something different? It's like an abusive relationship! I feel like it's gaslighting me.

A major supermarket tried to rip me off earlier too, it had an alleged special offer 4 for £5, and despite having lables confirming this on the shelf, it didnt' at the till, so I challenged them and a supervisor had to go and check and she came back equally confused, but put my stuff through at 4 for £5 as the signage was so unclear and confusing. It feels like a deliberate attempt to get people to buy more than they would if it wasn't on offer, this supermarket has form for this, which is why I always check to make sure. Ggggrrrrr.

I did buy a pretty bush half price in another shop, about the same as the money I saved on the other stuff.

What's made you Ggrr and arrgh lately?

  • Today I was expecting a parcel from M&S and at around 1pm I got a message to say it had been left in the porch. I had to go looking for it, and found it outside a different entrance to my block of flats, just dumped on the pavement! Ggrr!

In the parcel was a skirt from M&S. It was described as "soft touch" but it wasn't soft at all, the material was extremely heavy, and although it fitted at the waist it was too tight round the hips. Another disappointing item of clothing to be returned - arrrgh!

  • Delieveries can be a nightmare, we have one particular driver who's brilliant, she never just dumps stuff and drives off, she's always nice and friendly and carries a pocket full of dog biscuits. We have a couple of other drivers who seem to just drive past you house and if you're not at your front door they just drive on and leave stuff at the post office without telling you, or just dump it.

I don't like ordering clothes online for just that reason, you never seem to get what was described.
