Polytheism,

Many people find polytheism strange, I don't, I find it refreshing, what I don't understand is why so many people gave it up for montheism?

  • Monotheism came first. God (one) created the universe. All the other so called gods are actually fallen angels and I must advise against any contact with them. They are happy to decieve and make you join them in misery. We have free choice though, which God gave us and if we want to we can choose evil. It's worth remembering that that truth that we seek, especially us autistic people, is a person - God. There is only one truth and only one reality.

Why not give monotheism a chance? Isn't it infinitely more exiciting to know that one loving Father created all of creation. You as an individual were created for a purpose only you can fulfill. You are unique and important in His eyes. He loves you more than you can imagine and is always with you. If you want to know Him, he will let you and you will never regret it as the happiness of knowing Him is better than anything the world can offer. If you spend some time in the quiet and ask Him to let you know His presence He will do.... most often very gently as a feeling of intense well being and love. Aren't we made for truth? why seek the lies of the fallen angels. Lies are boring.

  • Monotheism came first.

I think this is fairly easy to factually disprove.

There is an interesting timeline of religion here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_religion

The earliest forms of worship (circa 38,000 BC) appear to be animistic in form although absolute proof cannot be established since we cannot ask them.

There are many more, clearly defined religious worship practices that predate the "one god" approach which Christianity has tried to revise by claiming mankind has only been around since the one god theory arose and made any prior proof a hoax made up by the one god itself. Terribly convenient!

I'm not claiming your choice of god does not exist, just that there is a lot of evidence to establish they were not the first god being worshipped which pokes a few holes in their claim.

    Lies are boring.

    I wholeheartedly agree.

  • Wikipeadia is your evidence? ok..

Well each to their own.... but there is one God who was here a long long time before it was called Christianity. That was only when He came to earth to save us... the earth was created some 4000yrs before that which was 2025 yrs ago so that makes the earth about 6000yrs old or so.

All talk of it being mega old are lies. Check our research on Young earth and see the Kolbe center if you are interested. it's best to check out both sides before deciding on what is the truth

I will pray for you because it's so sad you don't accept your Creator who loves you so much - your Father.

  • I often ask the Gods to help someone, to help light the way through hardship. I don't think that absent goodwill is ever wasted, whether you call it prayer, good wishes or whatever, at the very least people know that their being thought of kindly which can be a help when you're feeling ill and alone. You can do charity too.

The references used in the articles are the research papers on the subjects which are about as close as you get to evidence in the archaeology world.

That said, there is more scientific rigour used in those articles than in the bible so that would be my counter arguement Slight smile

All talk of it being mega old are lies

I think we have to agree to disagree on this one. I can cite lots of proof but the church's arguement is that it was all conveniently stage managed by their god to look that way. Not a convincing arguement for the scientific community.

    I will pray for you

Thank you for the thought, but it really isn't necessary. Please direct your energies to something more tangible (charity work for example) and leave me to deal with any consequences of my own actions.
