Many people find polytheism strange, I don't, I find it refreshing, what I don't understand is why so many people gave it up for montheism?

  • I think it's because some influential people convinced a lot of others to convert to a monotheistic faith and then it grew from there. Also monotheistic faiths tend to scare people with stories of some type of hell after death if they don't follow that faith, so fear is a factor in the decision.

    Then once a pattern of human behaviour is set, it's difficult for most people to change as most NTs think in lockstep and many NDs just can't handle anything different.
