Good morning all, I am looking for any advice if possible please.
My autistic son is currently in a mainstream school that is about 2 miles outside of our county boundaries. He is really struggling and the school, through funding with their county council have set up their own Hub which offers support to children who are struggling within the usual classes. My son does not qualify for this funding because we do not live in the county where the school is at, and currently, my own county are saying that they need further evidence to support that he is struggling. The school are doing everything they can to provide my county council with the evidence they need and have themselves said that he is a prime candidate for this support but, as I'm sure many of you have also struggled with, trying to get a case worker to attend a meeting at the school is near impossible to organise and so they are only going off minutes of the meetings that we supply them with. Can anyone suggest anything further that I can do to get the support my son desperately needs? I'd be so grateful. Thank you in advance.
