"Edit" option missing

Is it just for me, or has the "Edit" option in the "More" menu gone missing?

I used to be able to edit my original post (OP) and my comments. A few weeks ago the option to edit my OP disappeared. Today, the option to edit my comments has disappeared, too.

My ADHD sees me make frequent mistakes in my writing, but my Autism helps me spot many of those mistakes and want to correct them before I die of shame (metaphorically). I usually correct most of them before I hit "Post", but I like to use the "Edit" option to correct some of the more confusing mistakes that inevitably slip through. I find the lack of the "Edit" option to be a cause of some minor distress.

  • Back in July, I suggested via the community manager email address that they limit the length of time during which posts can be edited.

    I offered that suggestion because one of the main ways that spammers had been exploiting the forum was by initially posting an innocuous reply, and then, once interest in the thread had died down and some time had passed, returning and editing their reply to insert their spam links. 

    There are various time options for limiting the editing feature. Whilst I'm not sure which one it has now been changed to, I did notice that the change was implemented a while ago - and that it seems to have been working well in reducing that particular element of spamming behaviour.

    In order not to help the spammers, there's also an argument for the moderation team not advertising, specifically, what that new time limit is.
