Why i think AI = utopia

Trigger warning/controversial: also i apologize! this will come with different worldviews and a rapidly changing world (e.g., a lot of people fear the new and the unknown!).

Going to state this is my theory before saying my thoughts (does not mean it's 100% true)—since nothing is impossible and I could be wrong! )

Why do I think AI means utopia? Well, many reasons: Robots to do all jobs in this world. A world without money—everyone handed a credit amount per month, but on a very high end—because with robots, every basic job will be done at such low costs that prices would go down. You would only work if you wanted to; in other words, you will be free to do whatever you want in life. Would it happen? I believe so because let's say with 100% certainty that all people at the top want power and control—no doubt. With AI, it gives them that unlimited control. So now let's say one world leader wanted to rule the whole world? Why stop at just the whole world—how about the whole universe! To become the universal overlord! ... Going a bit overboard, but it leads into my point: If that's what they want, they need better technology, such as being able to go trillions of times the speed of light to get from one end of the universe to the other in less time. But to do that, you also need intelligence... not running on the animal hierarchy system (where let's just say you pick one random human on Earth, then throw them into a room alone and tell them to solve x, y, z math problem; then in another room, you have 100 people who are told to work together to solve the same math problem). Which group is going to be able to solve that problem first: the group with one person or the group with 100?, I most likely think always the 100! Now we scale this up with AI: As of the end of last year, they ran out of training data; it has been trained on 100% of all public internet data, and now we're in the doubling rate of the singularity. Since the AI models are getting better and better at a faster rate—that's from my experience since ChatGPT back in closed testing to now using Grok 4 in only 3/4 years—I've felt it improve over a trillion times already, and next model upgrades are being released faster and faster.

Now onto my point again: Universal domination can't happen if you run on a caveman animal hierarchy mentality, where since you're at the top, you make all the decisions for everywhere. But AI currently is like every human mind all working together to come up with the best solution—it can't go outside its training data yet, and might never be able to. It's about perfecting everything, getting 100% correct; it will never be truly creative like a human can be. But down to the core, creativity and innovation is just mistakes we do as humans that either end up being right or wrong, good or bad. So if an AI is to become better, we need all humans to feed it! (We as humans need to eat to live.) Now let's say AI turned on us and wanted to wipe us all out—that would be the same as humans destroying every food farm; then we'd all die because of lack of food! Now same with AI destroying us: We're its food in the sense that it eats data—new, fresh data, repeatable data—to improve itself. Without it, it would just stay the same, never grow, never become better. It needs to have a mission, and we will always give it that mission, that reason for existing—so I believe it will always help us! Easy low-IQ option: Kill, kill, kill!!! Hard option: Finding a way not to kill/destroy my data, which feeds me!

So a utopia would need to happen for everyone to be free! But at first, it will feel like you have less free will because of change that is different to what you're used to—so it must hurt bad on the emotional side! Like, I see the tech to truly free us, and then one step forward for more control—which again people will say is bad—but it's coming regardless (unless we wipe ourselves out first, but we'll get to that point soon). Is laser satellites, which are weak but enough to be like a taser used on you to disable the human, with 100% AI surveillance from satellite technology—which no amount of humans could search every inch of this planet with space cameras 60 times a second, but AI can. If it looks like another human is going to hurt another human, disable them—got a gun? Zapped. When the person calms down and not touches the gun again, they stop getting zapped—treating them like the animals they were, where everyone could feel safe to go outside. And only world rules being: Do not harm another person, or you get zapped and trained like a dog! (Zapping neck collar, which is animal abuse.) But it works! Not the only people I see against this freedom are the types who would want to hurt others—so no loss in my mindset, but to NEVER KILL! You'd lose out on data; every human has value. This is what I believe will happen within the next 10 years. ( also i admit I'm a bit unhinged and insane ), but i can't agree with murder no matter what! can you?

Now I admit it could 100% go another way—double-edged sword—but we have had the tech to wipe out humanity for decades (e.g., nukes), and then the benefits of AI and what it could do: Fix everything/anything! Limitations will be only on the human side! Want to cure all diseases, terra-form Earth and reverse the damage we've done to the planet, and all live in space on a massive spaceship? Fix all energy needs, can eat meat without needing to kill—synthesizers from like Star Trek. The center of our sun creates new matter all the time; it just takes a lot of energy, and with tech, you could make a machine to do so. But currently, it would take more energy than humans have used in all of human history just to create something at the atomic level!

Sorry another long one! also if you want to punch me in the face for this i don't blame you! ( but you might get zapped )

Thanks for reading! let me know your thoughts good or bad! with this so i can learn more! learning is good!

  • I'm thinking that this will never happen in a benevolent way, those that control the deployment of AI will always want more than others. It's a power and control mentality that most of us don't possess. It's what drives people to continuing to amass wealth, when they couldn't spend what the have if they lived many lifetimes over.

Even if that didn't happen and you were correct, it still sounds like hell to me. I have never wanted to march to the drum of popular opinion.

  • it still sounds like hell to me.

why do you think it sounds like hell? having obsolete freedom = the choose to chose how you live your life! free will! - so you could even choose to keep it as you currently like it best! that choose is yours same with every single individual!

now i wouldn't say it's Hell to me to be free to go where i want and feel safe, to do what i want and buy what i want to not need to stress about money - since there will be no money! in a truly free world.

also it's impossible to keep control if another nation decides to allow true freedom of thoughts and task because they will come up and design better tech! in turn, turning that tech to weapons and control! so by being good/allowing freedom you will always win! and have more control. the trend is changing to "bad you lose, be good you win!"

but again it's just my opinion this will happen, it might not, but I'd rather look on the bright side and Hope for the best!

I think the crux of the issue is that we will not be given the choice.

Those in control will not give it up as it does not benefit them - it goes to the Oracles explanation in the Matrix: "what do men with power want? More power".

The disparity between those with the power & money and the rest of us has grown markedly in recent decades and I don't think there can ever be a balance while this exists.

Ask yourself why would they give this up?
