Problems...

Hi everyone, Matthew here.

I'm seventeen and recently have been thinking about my future. And in my future I see only myself, no wife and no children. I play The Sims 2 and 3 and create myself with a wife and kids but obviously The Sims is not real life. You see I want to meet someone but don't leave the house, therefore I am unlikely to meet somebody, I also do not trust dating websites so I was wondering what you might suggest I do.

I thank anyone who replies. Thanks.

P.S: I also want to adopt a child, but I fear they would not let me because I have Autism. What should I do about that?

Thanks again to anyone who replies.

  • Hi Matthew my name is Abi.

I understand what you mean by putting your ideals on Sims 1 and 2. I had the habit of rushing marriage and babies on mine when realistically I'm slower about my decisions on relationships. I didn't meet my partner through a dating website just a normal website and became close friends at first then it slowly turned into the start of a relationship. Obviously the first meeting is nerve wracking however I had known my partner for at least a year before I met him; talking on the phone, skyping and texting. It ensured my overly safe approach. Just a simple friendship can turn into more. Still if this is not advisable and feels unsafe to try, just remember there is time to start a relationship and everything will follow slowly. I personally had my first proper relationship at nineteen, I'm twenty now and feel better that I waited. I won't say don't worry because it's easier to say than to implement in life. Just take action when you feel it's right. Smile
