Trump on autism

I see the tangarine tyrant is promoting a chemotherapy drug as the treatment for autism now:

The way it has been fastrcked without the normal checks makes me think Trump has a big investment in the company making the drug.

Doesn’t chemo target good and bad cells at the same time? It would only be a slow painful death if you took that medication surely 

It wouldn’t be a slow painful death because lots of people, myself included, have survived chemotherapy that stops cells dividing. I did have some ghastly side effects from chemo because it kills healthy cells too, but that is my point.

Leucovorin is not chemotherapy and I wish the media would stop calling it a chemotherapy drug because people can get needlessly anxious over it.

I mean if it was used to treat autism, not that it would work in any case. But I would imagine any medication for autism would be long term like anti depressants so I figured the chemo medication mentioned here would do more harm than good. Thankfully Trev informed me it isn’t the chemo medication itself being spoken of it but instead it’s a drug used to treat side effects of chemo.

Glad it worked out for you. I didn’t have Leucovorin with my chemo but I was treated with infusions of high dose vitamin B complex following chemo induced neutropenic sepsis.

Yeah, it's just a form of vitamin B9. You could probably sprinkle it on your cornflakes. It's the combination that matters.

I had some minor chemo treatment using a chemo drug combined with a form of vitamin D3 to enhance its potency while reducing its side-effects. It worked out OK.
