I prefer peppers ghost 

Huh, that looks nice! got my weekend obsession, thx.

In the past, I though about making objects of this kind to sell, but I'm too pessimistic to do any of that.

As a kid, I'd be fascinated, I think; I was with magnetism, with "lava lamps" and so on.

See I prefer things like this such as prisims and how light works i once spent months and months studying 35mm cameras with the film door open to see how each Fstop looked from the inside snd to see how a good and a ba ld curtain looked from the inside like how a bad one makes light leaks 

I first saw peppers ghost at the Manchester science and industry museum sadly all of what I Remember there has been replaced it makes me sad when they change everything in a museum at least wirh the Liverpool life museum they had the decency to rebuild into a  new museum so I didn’t get reminded of wher my fave exists stayed for years 

It seems the science of it is a lot less interesting though:

• The hologram substrate stores 3D information of a place / object. We can visualise even places that have disappeared.
• The peppers ghost tricks audience by using light reflected from an object invisible to the audience. The light is directed by a mirror into a perfectly transparent glass (so much that no one notices it exists.) But if the scene disappears, the illusion disappears.
