Room 101

What would you put into Room 101?

One pet hate per post.

Post as many pet hates as you want until you experience true catharsis!

If you are not familiar with the Room 101 concept, here is a little bit of background from the relevant article on Wikipedia.

Room 101 is a BBC comedy television series based on the radio series of the same name, in which celebrities are invited to discuss their pet hates and persuade the host to consign those hates to oblivion in Room 101, a location whose name was inspired by the torture room in George Orwell's 1949 novel Nineteen Eighty-Four which reputedly contained "the worst thing in the world". Orwell himself named it after a meeting room in Broadcasting House where he would sit through tedious meetings.

  • The idea of someone giving 110% (of effort).

I know this term has been used to get people to push beyond their perceived amount of effort which is set at 100%, nonetheless, 100% has to be an inaccurate figure as effort fluctuates.

That is bad enough, but now 200% is used for effort, and 1000%, 10,000.00% and 1000,000.00% for how much people love or hate things.

By the way, this is 200% true. Ugh! Triumph

  • Reminds me of finally completing Paper Mario the Origami King 100% and then I find out there’s an 110% ending which means completing the game without getting battle accessories and game overs!

  • Ugh tell me about it, it’s even harder to not get a game over when I can’t use the battle accessories. Yeah I remember seeing the cute 100% ending with a mini Olly and mini Olivia saying I got 100% or something then on the internet I so happen come across the 110% ending but by then it’s too late because I had already used battle accessories and got like a billion game overs so I had to reset the game anyway! I have managed to get the 110% ending twice but haven’t played for a while.

The game overs get registered before the game over screen comes up so for example if the boat down eddy river takes too much damage a cut scene plays where everyone falls in and then the game over screen comes up, but the game over actually gets registered as soon as that fall in river cutscene starts. Also if you close the game during the cutscene, you lose anything since the last save point so you lose coins or collectables since the last save point etc but the game over will automatically get saved to your profile so yeah you lose your coins and stuff as well as your no game over ending. I guess you’d have to play the game or watch videos to see if that makes any sense.

Wow I have really waffled on here
