  • I think for me, I’m trying to learn bass through just playing it often. I have nusical experience on other instruments so that helps, but at the moment I’m listening to tracks, and then playing what I hear and trying to copy as best as I can. Also I’ll use YouTube tutorials for certain tracks.

as I’m learning guitar, I went to the guitar shop once and asked the man there about what I needed to do become proficient, and he said “practice”, which is such a simple answer, but I think the more often you’re doing it, naturally you get more familiar.

i don’t know if this helps at all?

  • See with guitar my journey was rough but looking back my best learning was a a mix of regular prqctice and b aki g a break ehen I got stuck as doing as I started up again it just clicked

i think im gunna try learn a basic kick first then  a riff

I really want to learn some absolute fire bangers like my own worst enemy, all about that bass and all my best friends are metal head ih and for the obvious Tay Tay song I want to learn shake it off thats a sixk bass line

i want to learn it well enough to have a portable bass amp and a regular Bluetooth amp busking so I can play along to backing tracks as a new tool in my tool box so I have 3 musical busking shows i can rotate this allows me to play the same time 3 times without it getting stale 1 wirh a bass setlist 1 with an acoustic guitar set list and 1 singing to backing tracks

  • that sounds exciting! I am learning guitar with the dream of doing gigs and maybe busking, but it would be a completely new experience for me and it would put me in the deep end, especially if that includes singing!

I think play what you want to play in that case. With the bass, try and watch a few youtube tutorials that help you to get a good technique, it's good to know that first. Then, look for what you like to play, and mix it up with watching tutorials and playing along to what you hear!
