Open water swimming

I got into open water swimming last year, I haven’t done any this year due to autistic burnout and depression. I wondered if anyone else on here does open water swimming, whether they find it helpful, and where they go :)

  • I love to swim in the sea and if I lived near the sea I would go every day. I’m not sure about inland swimming as the place near me with a lifeguard charges £8 a session and I wouldnt feel safe just going in the river alone.
for me the need is to be in water, rather than swimming, so in the summer we have a hot tub and I spend many hours in that, during the winter I have alot of baths!
I hope you feel able to restart swimming again soon as it is good for the soul.
