Did you know that a different type of volunteering / welcoming team scheme operates across some of the rail stations of the West Midlands Railway (WMR - across the West Midlands via Birmingham New Street and Birmingham Snow Hill) area of stations?
West Midlands Railway's sister brand, London Northwestern Railway (LNR - Liverpool and Birmingham, and on the West Coast Main Line to and from London Euston), also supports station adopters across its rail network, who volunteer to give stations a boost with artwork, planting and general maintenance.

Judging by quite a few of our popular threads here; many members of our community seem to find establishing a connection with a service animal potentially more comfortable than maybe doing so with a stranger in a public place.
Thinking of some of the potential barriers to using public transport experienced by some Autistic people; I wondered whether anyone had noticed some similar k9 welcome team schemes, elsewhere, around the country's public transport networks too?
