  • My youngest kid who is autistic started using the now ubiquitous (i.e. everywhere) "skibidi" which apparently made it into a dictionary.

I've started finding myself regularly saying "skibidi duck" at various moments in the day.  No real reason.

  • Oh dear the word skibidi makes me want to rip my ears off it was a funny thing for a few weeks then it got irritating to me

I find some of my echolalia is very contextual and it pleases me when I get a prompt for it like if someone says to me wake up I’ll go “Im not asleep … my mind is alive”

or if I hear the words “another day another” I will very quickly say “drama drama but not for me all I want is karma”

  • I know - I actually don't especially like it myself.  My youngest kid started saying it to annoy his neuro-typical big brother, who at one point wouldn't stop saying "siiooooo" (something Cristiano Ronaldo said or something like that). Now it seems to have stuck... until a suitable replacement takes hold.
