Just learned about the National Autistic Society, and I'm not sure what it actually helps me with?

Explored the website for a good 10 - 15 minutes, and it seems most of what is on the site is for non-autistic people about autistic people. What, as a level one autistic man, can I get out of this website?

  • I can’t speak for the articles on this site, since I haven’t perused them much, but I can say that the majority of what’s posted on the forum is by Autistics for Autistics. So if there is anything that you can get out of the website it is community. I have learned so much about Autism by perusing the forum. For example, I was unaware of how prevalent alexithymia is among Autistic people until I met some people that identify as such on here.

Every once in a while we get questions posted by NTs about NDs, but it’s primarily our Autistic folk that answer those questions.
