Names :)

Hi everyone,

It's not really a truly intense "special interest," but I have always been fascinated in names, particularly baby girls' names. It's partly because I love writing and making up characters and plots in my head, and I think it's also because I've got two little sisters and was involved in naming them both (particularly my 13-year-old sister as I was four when she was born, so I was able to be a bit more involved than I was with my 15-year-old sister).

I'm currently in the process of creating a plot which involves identical twin sisters in their mid-forties. Their last name is Burton, and one of them is definitely called Felicity. I can't decide whether to call her sister Juliet or Clementine! I wondered which one you all preferred? Plus, if any of you know of any particularly beautiful or unusual girls' names, I'd be really grateful.

Thank you!

  • Clementine is a cool name, but a bit of a mouthful when put with Felicity.  My real name is Aileen, very Scottish name for a Scottish girl.  I can be fascinated by names.  I don't particularly like it when I come across a person with the same name as me.  Makes me feel really uncomfortable.
