Naturism (Non-sexual nudity)

There seems to be no mention of this subject here and I wondered if this was due to overzealous mods confusing naturism with sex. Many of us find the feel of clothes adding to our sensory overload and being unclothed is such a relief and a help when overwhelmed. Also the security of a naturist club where you know that all the members have been carefully vetted and where there is no judgement of difference can be a safe place to unwind. It is also a safe place for autistic children as well as adults. Am I the only autistic naturist here?

Parents
  • I've always worn nothing in bed. I like bare feet and wander round the house with no clothes in the morning with no issue.

But I would not be able to be nude in public.

Even on a beach, which is rare, I have clothes on. But that's also because I don't like getting wet.

I find the idea of being naked with strangers odd, but maybe this is a cultural issue as some countries are more happy to be naked in saunas etc.

  • Being naked with others can feel strange at first but after a while you forget. Therecis a thing in naturist circles about maintaining eye contact but most of us are used to maintaining the pretence by looking at other parts of people's faces. Plenty of non autistic poeple find eye contact difficult BTW.
