Messages from the universe?

A couple of nights ago a moth flew out of my ear, once I'd stopped being starttled and flicking my hair about to make sure there weren't more I wondered if this is a message from the universe that I need to get studying again? Has my brain become so unused over the last couple of months that it's acquired moths? lol

  • Here is a moth on the outside of a window I took last year.

You can see the big frond like antennae which are used to pick up pheromones and find mate.

  • Oh moths are so beautiful! Just as lovely as their cousins (butterflies!). I find them fascinating, except when they get inside a paper lampshade and flap about when it’s sleeping time haha

  • moths are the night shift polinator

I wonder if they are the autists of the insect world - staying away from the bright daylight, avoiding social contact with the other insects and just getting on with their special interest of pollination at night. Slight smile

  • I think the moth actually landed on my hair when I was coming in from the garden and just appeared by come out of my ear.

I have been actively planting for polinators, everyoone thinks of bee's, but moths are the night shift polinators and we have loads of different ones now, along with lots of daytime insects and polinators.

I will go back to my usual, post Roman stuff and researching for the book I intend to write, I wil be dong much more research on the religious situation at the time of and immediately after the Romans withdrawing.

  • Has my brain become so unused over the last couple of months that it's acquired moths?

I remember being called cloth ears when I was young because I was sometimes slow to respond to calls from my parents.

    Maybe you need mothballs.

On a serious note, depending on the type of moth it would be worth getting some moth repellant for your clothes storage areas. I've rented some apartments where they were everywhere (eating the carpets through the whole building complex so even if the flat was treated they returned once the chemicals faded) and lost plenty of clothes this way.

  • Oooo interesting! Moths can represent a great deal of different things: Ancestors, dreams, death, change, etc. Seeing it as a sign that you need to begin studying again is an interesting interpretation!

    What would you study, though?
