The Aftermath of 'Sciencetology'

It didn't just appear, by magic, back in 2020. It began with Daytime TV becoming saturated with GP Panelists. Then the media exploitation of people's concern over their kids' lifestyle choices. Not to forget, the latest Calabraty tittle-tattle.

The Gogglebox replaced Christianity as our Religion. Aided and abetted with DVD Boxsets, then online Streaming. Also Mums becoming interested in the shows their Tiddlers watched.

Hypochondria is Big Business.

  • In the Night Garden is a bit after my time and I haven’t watched it.

I used to enjoy Trumpton as a child and I would love to watch it again. I was fascinated my the fire brigade being called out in every episode, so it was comfortingly predictable. I would also like to watch The Woodentops again, especially to see the ‘big spotty dog’ who was described using different adjectives every episode. I think he was called things like ‘a big bad spotty dog’ and ‘a very tired spotty dog’. My mother and my father used to enjoy both programmes if they happened to be in the room, and years later would talk about the series.
