Wildlife

I can't find the old chats so I am starting a new one. I would love to hear your stories too.

I kept finding my recently planted flower bed getting dug up, so I protected my remaining plants and we set up a wildlife camera which filmed two different foxes. After that we occasionally saw them in the day and I have made sure there is water available on the ground. One even left their dinner behind half buried, but fortunately returned for it the next night.

This morning my son sent a video he filmed earlier of 3 foxes including at least one cub.

  • I never got the whole "eww" factor over macro photos of arthropods. I find them fascinating. All those little details that are too small or too ephemeral to see with the naked eye ... simply lovely.

I have some of the older Canon gear myself: EF lenses, etc. It was a big passion of mine for about 10 years, but then, as with nearly all my passions, I sort of drifted out of it.
