16yo with ASD school move - cant get a new place

Hello

My son is getting his diagnosis this week - think he's been masking all this time (we had our suspicions) and the school were happy as he was very academic.  He had a mental health crisis a couple of months ago and didnt sit any GCSE exams.  His current school will take him for 6th form, but that is a major trigger for him - he has moved away to his granny's house in London where he feels safer.  Problem is that at this late stage, and with no GCSE's and still suffering with mental health (suicidal) we have been unable to find him a sixth form place.  He is very academic, and a sixth form college would not be suitable as he needs the structure of a school.

I cant seem to find any help on what to do as the uncertainty of what he's going to do in September is making his crisis worse.

One option we're now thinking he finds a school to repeat year 11 but I dont know how realistic that is - and he really doesnt want to be behind his friends, but we may have no other options.

Does anyone know who I can speak to for advice please?
