My favourite book was the third one but I wasn’t very happy with the amount of important stuff they left out, such as the meaning of the names of the marauders map and why they turned into animagi. 

Left out of the films, I mean!

Ye I have that issue with a lot of the films. The first two aren't too bad but after that they miss out so much important stuff. I really like Prisoner of Azkaban on my first reading of it but now I think it's my least favourite. I just don't think I can recreate the feeling of shock I felt when I found out Sirius was the good guy and the rat was the bad guy.

I do love to reread them but it is a heck of a commitment. Definitely a good burnout activity though.

Yes I will give it a go. I would like to see a more loyal version of the books. But I do have concerns that they'll mess it up.

I’m just starting to re-read them whilst I’m in burnout, about to finish number 2.
