Weekend plans

Curious what you’ll be doing. Will it be hot or warm where you are? I live in London and this Sunday and then Monday too it could get up to 33-35°C. Too hot for me so I’ll be walking my dog first thing before it’s too hot and before any crowds start to pick up.

I’ve got to take my little brother to a football club thing unfortunately. It sounds inhumanly cruel to make anyone do sports in this sort of weather, but maybe that’s just me. lol. I’m just glad my cars got air-con. Other than that I think I’ll be staying in this weekend, watching movies and sitting in front of my fan.

I might sort some of my stuff too. During my assessment my sorting things was considered an ASD trait so it explains a lot why I'm so obsessed with sorting stuff I own.

  • I didn't get to rest yesteday, family paid a surprise visit and going out to buy a jar of tahini so as I could make some hummus turned into a bit of a mission, I think I ended up with one of the two remaining jars on the island!

    Feels very hot and heavy here.

  • Well today I put new pedals on my bike as one of the previous ones was starting to fall apart. Also helped my dad with the gardening.

    Tomorrow it’s still going to be very sunny out so will go to the zoo

    I've not been to Oxford for years, I used to love going there and getting a pastry from Michel Roux's pattiserie, expensive but really good, I don't know if it's still there?

    I used to go to Oxbow books bookshop too, I think it must have been the original model for the Library in Terry Pratchets novels.

    Sometimes the humidity is worse than the heat imo, especially at night. Sleeping is so uncomfortable right now.

    I hope you enjoy your weekend and get plenty of rest as well. I want to try and rest up this weekend if I can. I've been feeling burnt out I think from the recent stress of waiting for my assessment.

  • It won't be hot here, but it will be cloudy and humid, I'm glad we won't have the heat, but I could do without the humidity.

    I wil just be doing normal stufd walking with Fearn, reading and I think I need a rest.

    Sounds like it'll be a busy weekend for you all. Though nice weather to be out in so hopefully you'll all be able to keep as cool as possible but still have a nice time. Do you keep bees? I love honey. I love the idea of making my own honey but wouldn't know how to. I'd also be terrified of being stung by the bees lol. Have a fun weekend!

    Yeah I saw on the weather looks hot that way. Hope you can manage to keep cool and get your house moved in to soon. Moving house always sounds easy but I remember moving in to my apartment spanned over three weeks in the end. It was exhausting lol.

    Sounds busy. I hope your time in Oxford goes well and it doesn't stir up too much of the past for you. Keep my fingers crossed for you.

    I'll be hiding indoors most of the time too! I'm hoping it won't be as hot as they've predicted. I'm more of a cold weather girl.

  • Saturday, water the garden in the morning, buy some flowers from the florist. In afternoon picking someone up I haven't seen for 5 years, then on to Oxford to see 2 others I have not seen for 10-15 years for a meal. Will be hot.

    Am nervous as have not been to Oxford for over 20 years. Also brings back some awkward memories with old partner.

    I need to get out and doing things again as have mostly hidden since before Covid.

    Sunday, not sure. May go to coffee shop in morning. Then hide indoors from the heat.

  • It’s supposed to be a scorcher here in the Midwest, though a bit cooler than the heat wave we’ve had this past week. My plan is to move into my house! Our furniture is supposed to come in sometime this weekend, so hopefully I’ll actually be able to live in my new house soon lol

  • I have a fun weekend, I'm on the UK to. Saturday I am with my wife taking my parents out on a day trip to an open garden in Essex. Sunday I'll be selling my honey at a small but nice village farmer and craft market. I am quite sure that on both days I will be very hot hot face
