NUMPTIES!!!

There are too many numpties in the world and I seem to attract them, I'm a numpty magnet!

This aternoon we had a chap come round to sort the poor internet signal out, fair enough, except that he decides the only place he can put a booster is in the kitchen, right where I do food prep, I was cooking when he did it, he had no idea of why it was a problem. I have little prep space as it is and I cook a lot, I tried explaining it to him but he just gave me a vacant sort of look like a poleaxed cow! I have moved it along a bit, but it's still in the way and taking up a plug socket thats regularly used for others things. The other thing that bugs the hell out of me is the way these plugs are made, they have to sit flush to the wall, so you can't use a 3 way adapter with them, they just sit there taking up space without a care in the world for all the inconvienence they cause.

Why am I the only person in a car park that tries to swivel her head like an owl to stop hitting people face down in thier phones or those who blithely assume that there will be nothing behind them and just reverse out?

My ears are back, my tail fluffed and I'm growling at the world. Now my keyboard has randomly decided to ignore some keys!.

  • Happened me, an hour ago, when heading to a Centra in town; to get money from the Post Office and buy a wrap; while staying at my friend's.

One Stout woman held us all up, for the sake of which Vape for her to buy. Only for an old chap coming into the other till, as well as assist the woman working the oter till, I would've exploded. Underlying fear, also, of my wallet being nicked.

Took my friend to, and from, Derry today; he had an appointment, this morning, to sort out his knee. Driving through the Sperrins, in inclement weather, makes me hyperfous and stressed. The worry of someone behind me looking to fly. A lifetime dealing with family members paranoid over the possibility of claims.

  • There's not enough room to do that Iain and not only is the plug poorly designed but the booster unit itself is huge compared to the old one, the whole new hub is huge compared to the old one, it might be 10 times as fast, but does it really need to be 10 times as big? I so badly want a new kitchen, as the one we have was badly designed for shot people who don't cook, not for tall people who do cook. Everything is wonky some numpty built the kitchen extension wonky and theres about 4 or 5 inches difference in width between one end of the kitchen and the other, we have square floor tiles and it's really obvious, The only way to really fix it would be to take it down and rebuild it properly, obviously thats not going to happen, you'd have to be really OCD to go to that expense. Mum hates building work too, although it maybe unadvoidable as I think the electric sockets will have to be moved as many of them are to near water sources and gas points.

In a shop I can look at the overhead signs to find where things have been moved too, or I can ask a staf member, that's not possible on the internet, it's just sponsered link after sponsered link. The other thing I notice is that what I'm shown varies according to time of day, after 4pm I get shown more of what I didn't ask for that I do in the morning, although I still get shown a lot of stuff I didn't ask for. Amazons realy bad for it, if I go looking for a book to download, I'm in the crime fiction section and it offers me erotica and romantic fiction, and I'm like urgh, and eh? I've never looked for that stuff, certainly never shown any interest in wanting to read it.

  • The other thing that bugs the hell out of me is the way these plugs are made, they have to sit flush to the wall, so you can't use a 3 way adapter with them

How about getting a 4-way power strip coming off the socket and mount that on the wall or side of a cupboard so you can have them all in a position that is convenient to you and off the worktop still?

  • Why's the internet so crap at showing what you asked for in general?

It is the same reason supermarkets re-arrange their shelves every year or so - to make you wade through loads of potential sale possibilities that you may buy on impulse. It is all about money and I don't see it ever changing.

  • Things that need plugs are one of my annoying things. When we moved to our current house, only a few years ago we had extra plugs put in so we had plenty. Now we end up unplugging things to plug something else in. Our plentious plugs in the kitchen are taken up with a smart meter and things connected to all sorts. I do try to avoid things that need to be plugged in where possible.

  • And amazons showing me hundreds of items I didn't ask for and few of the ones that I did, whats the matter with the place? Why's the internet so crap at showing what you asked for in general?
