How are we coping with the heatwave?

Unusually for me I'm doing alright, we do have a little breeze here which is helping and it's "only" 27.C, it should start getting cooler for us tomorrow and sunday, which will be very welcome. Fearn and I went to the beach this morning and had a paddle, neither of us swim, Fearn's a bit nervous about swimming as she's not really built for it, her paws are to narrow  and I swim like a brick!

  • I have an old house with solid walls, from 1860. Costs to heat in winter, but my living room stays around 23. Gives me somewhere to hide. I don't much like warm weather. Gets warmer upstairs. Whenever it is hot it reminds me to stop complaining.

A long time ago I lived on a place with 2ft think stone walls. Was the same. It evens out the day and night temps, and stores energy in the autumn. But if you let it get cold it is very hard to get warm again.
