My office!

I am super proud of my office right now so I am going to share it with y’all.

1. The color is nice in here. A nice, calming bluish gray.
2. I have my record player, which is a quick and easy conversation piece, not to mention I can play my favorite records as I work.
3. I have a lava lamp, a glitter lamp, and a tornado lamp, all of which can be turned on for sensory-seekers or turned off for sensory-avoidants. I still have room for one more on top of my filing cabinet!
4. Walls are fairly bare right now, but that’s good for clients who are sensory-avoidant.
5. Nice window allows in a lot of natural light, so I rarely have to use my fluorescent overhead lights.
6. That USA sign was made by a client. I have it close by because the paint is textured and I can rub my fingers across it for comfort.

In short, I love this office. I have always wanted an office like this. Btw, my job is working with people that have disabilities, so I think this office is just as perfect for them as it is for me.

    It must be nice getting to listen to your records while you work.

  • Looks good, a space all to yourself, its very minimal tidy and organized looking. i like the vintage radio as well, that's a very unique looking jacket by the way, if its one, like that.

  • Your office looks like it has a nice airy atmosphere. I can see that your clients would feel comfortable and it is easy to see why your record player is a conversation piece.

  • I love your office! Not too big, not too small. Not too bright. And so neat and tidy, that's my fave part, but then I'm a bit of a keep things tidy all the time freak. lol.

    That's got to be nice for the people you work with. When I had dealings with mental health one of the rooms I went in with a support worker was this bright orange, it made staying in there for nearly an hour so uncomfortable.
