How do you dress?

I've often made a few questionable choices with my clothes through the years and have often got it wrong. In the last year or so I've decided to go for comfort over conformity, and I've always been more attracted to bright colours rather than black, grey or beige and the muted tones that seem to be popular these days. I don't want to look like everyone else anymore.

My partner and I recently discovered a shop in Matlock Bath, Derbyshire, and they sell all sorts of cool clothes. It's hippie style so there are patchwork trousers, harem pants, and loose shirts and t-shirts, printed designs etc. I absolutely love it and it's what I wear now. I'm happy to be the weird guy wearing the hat, assorted coloured clothes and sandals or barefoot shoes.

What's your style and what do you like wearing?

  • During my early teenage years, I tried I fit in through clothing, but that never really worked out and when people started to use make up (which I’m sensory wise not really able to), I gave up. That has been the best move for me. I now dress mostly in non-skinny jeans (usually straight cut and I got the same one multiple times for years now) and t-shirts, often with a comfortable jacket or shirt for layering. Outdoor clothing is also a save pick for me (hiking pants, outdoor/sporty materials, light-weight fleece pullover as a jacket etc.). My favourite season is winter, because I get to wear sweaters and hoodies all the time.

    I can't wear make up either. Always been super sensitive to it and have to wipe it off ASAP after I put it on. Now I only wear it, very reluctantly, for special occasions. Which thankfully is not very often at all.

    I don't wear make-up either, I'm allergic to most of it, foundations slides off my face, as my skin sweats to try and rid itself of this unnatural accretion leaving behind red and angry looking skin. I have long eye lashes any way and mascara makes me look as though I've squashed spiders to my face.

    Theres things about make-up I've never known how to do, like eye liner, I've never had a steady enough hand to put it on and I'm often unsure where to put it. I did try some false eyelashes once but they wouldn't stick. I'm totally hapless with things like this.
