Twilight at the coast captured in all its glory with the aid of a drone. I can't claim this picture as my own, but it is inspiring me to purchase a drone, as the effects are absolutely outstanding.
And look at all those beach huts !! Holly97

I meant if you aren't able to read the article about the windfarms - I will copy out the text
I can't do c&p, but its ok, I bought a new phone for the house, I've yet to set it up, it hasn't been stared at or poked with a long stick enough yet to be taken out of it box!

I'm not sure about that at all. I know your phone is iffy, I can paste the text out if you can't access it.
We've got some wind farms and as far as I know there's no impact on wildlife, I know there's been a few studies done to show this and not all by those who are pro windfarms.
I thought it had been edited in some way, but apparently not.
There are quite a few drone shots available online, but many are selling them as prints (unsurprisingly) - they are that spectacular as you say.
We've several wind farms locally and I dread to think what the impact on wildlife is. Nobody has accurate information. Having said this, when someone made an issue a couple of years back, the attitude was that any loss of wildlife was a 'price worth paying' for the wind power generated.
I'm not talking about getting a heavy-duty drone - the type the military would use. I mean something lightweight that I'd be keeping my eye on. I believe I can get one made of fibreglass - but if I thought I'd be harming anything, I'd not be buying it.
It has a quite surreal quality with the swirling curves of the beach huts.
I would love a drone to look at crop marks and other archaeological features. Google maps is very good as an alternative to a drone, though I am using Apple for now.
You're right, I remember having a massive spat with some blokes who were flying a model aircraft near a rookery and a buzzard, the buzzard was trying to get away and the rooks were flying near it in attack formation, these idiots insisted that the birds were enjoying it.
I can't be doing with the noise of the things either, people fly them to fast and low in public areas and they really are a menace, what would happen if they hit someone? Or if they spooked a horse and it threw its rider or bolted?
Probably. I've not looked, but I think it very likely.
To be honest, I think a lot of it 'should' come down to responsibility of the operator - as with anything else, it is as much the fool in control as the equipment that can cause an issue.
Can model flak batteries be bought? I'm not a fan of drones, sorry, I know lots of people are, but I see to many idiots upsetting birds with them.
