3 things you do to relax after a busy day

What a day! On top of dealing with employment tribunal and legal stuff, the puppy split open his nail while chasing a toy. Only split a little bit but it was bleeding. He's fine and 10 minutes later he was jumping up for fusses from the vets. I'm also fine even after such a day, but it's just been one of those where I just spend the evening chilling.

So similar to the "3 good things" thread which I enjoyed:

What are 3 things you might do to relax after a busy day?

Mine would be:

  1. Yorkshire tea bedtime brew or maybe a beer (beer usually only if I'm in a good mood)
  2. Movie, Anime or TV. If the dog has been good or is lucky, he may get to join me on the sofa.
  3. A tech or DIY project (may sound like work but it's fun for me)

  • Oh no! I’m sorry to hear about your poor pupper. I’m glad he’s doing alright. Hopefully the legal stuff is smoothed over soon.

    Mine would be:

    1. Nap. 2 hours is my preferred nap, but with two young daughters I’m lucky if I manage a half hour before they get home.
    2. Write remixes of video game music or play some video games.
    3. A glass of straight bourbon with metal ice cubes to keep it cool and not watered down.

  • Thanks!

Oh 5 minutes after it happend you wouldn't even know he'd done anything. Later in the day he was bringing his toy back to me wanting to play fetch. I did not oblige. Never a dull moment with him Joy

Tribunal stuff might go on a while, but there should be a break from it soon if it goes ahead. I start a new job soon as well so that's a massive relief.

Nap sounds awesome. I've never really been able to nap, although not really tried since sorting my insomnia.

The video game stuff sounds interesting as well. A good soundtrack can add a lot to a game. I quite like to sit out under the stars and will usually use music from games as background. I think some l use for that are from the To The Moon series. I've got some bone conduction headphones for it so I get the audio without taking away the ambient noise of the surroundings or disturbing anyone else.

...I may need to go stargazing again Joy

    Thanks for your post!
