Personal shoppers

I havea vague memory of my Mum going to buy a new dress, I must have only been a toddler, but I asked her about it and she confirmed my memory, that you'd go into a shop and an assistant would ask you what you wanted and what size and they would select a few pieces for you to try. I wish shops still did this with a real human! I was just recomended some stuf by M&S and thought in what universe would I wear these things?

I'd love to go on one of those make over shows, I'd love to find out where they would find clothes to fit me, let alone if I liked them? I could see them having a fit when they looked through my existing clothes, at how few I have.

I would absolutely loathe this and would leave the shop immediately.

In fact, people do still say 'are you looking for something in particular' and I hate that - I just say I'm browsing but I'd far rather be left alone to think for myself.

I have to shop alone too - other people distract and confuse me.
