We've just been and picked up 3 chickens who were up for rescue, we have Harriet, Gloria and one as yet unnamed one. They're all brown and buff and seem to be quite healthy I was a bit nervous that they'd be ex battery hens, but these seem in far to good condition for that, so I think they've been free range birds. Fearn of course was fascinated by them, but calmed down once she'd helped me make thier beds and feed them, I think she will end up being quite protective of her chickens.
