Hiya, when I joined this forum a few weeks ago my avatar was a picture of me, but I was advised to change it due to privacy guidelines, so I chose my current avatar.

It's a picture that I took myself, and it shows a section of a derelict building reflected along the canal in Sheffield.

It's the same canal where the opening scene of The Full Monty was filmed in the 90s. It's a really interesting walk from the city centre to Meadowhall.  If you ever visit then it's worth a look, but don't enter Meadowhall on a weekend. It's sensory hell!

  • My avatar is a tree. Trees have always felt important to me – during difficult times I’ve found comfort in being around them, almost like they’ve saved me. I’m from Sheffield too, so it’s nice to see someone local here.

    I love trees as well. When I was little I used to climb this really spooky looking tree in our garden, not really safe so don't advise it but it was fun at the time! I don't know what tree it was but it never had any leaves, it looked like something you'd see on the grounds of a haunted house.

    In my garden now, we have a beautiful willow tree nex to our pond.
