Just needed to vent!

Sorry just needed to vent!

Tesco were meant to deliver between 6  and 7 pm. I received a delivery update saying they were on their way and would be with me between 6.40 to 7.10. 
I cannot really rest until this delivery has happened it’s just always in my mind and irritating me. As I know it’s going to arrive at an inconvenient time. I delayed our tea for as long as I could manage. Delayed taking the dog out. Now we find out after my wife rang them they are not coming! The have it down as a failed delivery!

now I am going to have to go to the supermarket tomorrow’ as we were counting on that delivery! Just to add salt to the wound.

  • I often find myself calm after a day or two and look back thinking "why was I so bothered?" , but I guarantee it'll all happen again next time... I have started to bite my lip a lot as the future me often regrets the destruction I can cause Rofl

  • Thanks you are right but stuck with some of these retailers but Tesco are definitely on the naughty step now!

  • That really gets to me too. They could at least let you know, but they never do... I normally get online updates like "We're still on our way but we're running behind..." and I know, it's not happening today anymore.

    Vent when you need to. I hope you feel better now and you got on ok at the supermarket due to their incompetence.

  • I stopped shopping (or in this case receiving groceries would be more accurate?) from the major retailers some time ago when I got bored and decided I'd compare their prices & profits.

    I do understand that some need that delivery service - and some retailers don't provide one.  So there's that.

    However, a delivery service that doesn't do what it is meant to do isn't much use anyway, I'd say. 

    Tell them you'll take your business elsewhere.  That's my advice.  It's actually scary how much we spend in these places over a year - and they should be treating their customers far better than they do.
