New meet up group-Hertfordshire

Hi Everyone, 

Im setting up a 'chat/meet up group' for young adults 18-30 with aspergers syndrome in South Hertfordshire so we don't have to travel up to 2 hours to North Hertfordshire! I haven't yet decided on a name. 

Location:

Hemel Hempstead HP3, The Fishery Inn (plenty of free parking, outside space, if your coming from work there's a good food menu as well as drinks and it is opposite the train station and bus stops) or should this be a success up for discussion to be a rotation in members homes. 

When:

First meet up on Saturday May 17th at 7pm onwards 

Monthly met ups (subject to change dependent on members wishes) 

Who's it for:

Young adults 18-30 living in south Hertfordshire and surrounding villages who would like to share experiences of living with AS and it's effects and to offer eachother support and lots of laughter/companionship in years to come, including meeting for activities/trips out. 

-general chit chat about living with it day to day

-childhood memories

-studying

-employment 

-socialising 

-sharing contacts/experiences of professionals over the years 

-aspie 'burn outs'/panic attacks 

-independent living 

-family relationships 

-driving 

-epilepsy 

-depression 

-coping methods 

-therapy 

-charity events

- benefit support 

.... and much more.

Although I've said south herts as there is a gap in this part of Hertfordshire, if your further a field and like to attend please email, the aim of the game is for us young adults to meet independently to support eachother/have someone to chat with. 

I am a 23 year old female with Aspergers, diagnosed when a young child and setting this up as im now to old for the ones parents set up for there children in north herts and feel the local support shouldn't stop just because we are now adults!
