Anyone Spot Any "April Fool" Joke News Items?

This morning it is worth thinking twice about news items ...jus in case the item is an April Fool joke.

When I was a young child; you knew the "joke news item" would be revealed as (admitted to be) a joke from about 11 am.

These days, I am not so sure there is quite the same appetite / tradition of including a joke item?

  • Nope. But after my student, 111, April fooled me by pretending he had brought a cricket with him to the lesson, I fooled him back by saying the local garden centre was now stocking a new carnivorous plant that could also walk......

  • Found one such joke article in the online version of a local paper group - but they spoilt it by writing as the last line: "Happy April Fools' Day! "

  • I think almost anything said or claimed by Trump or Musk will be passable as an April Fool this year.

I tend to struggle with practical jokes because it sets off my RSD and reminds me of school. Not a happy time. Pensive Luckily I'm not in any of the social groups that would put me in harm's way. There are some small benefits to being socially awkward.

  • Here are some nostalgia ones from years ago:
