Why has Number become a ghost?

I know he said he was leaving the forum, but I noticed this morning all my pms from him have disappeared. All my pms to him are still there, but none of his replies are there anymore. That doesn't normally happen when someone leaves the forum. Has he become a ghost?

Anyone got any idea what's happened? Is this yet another forum bug?

  • Hello All.

    Yes......t'is me.

I am sorry if I caused concern by "deleting" my history here, but I did make it clear that I WOULD return.....and here I am.

The rules, spirit and "personal security" of this place has evidently changed (almost beyond all recognition) recently.....and those "un-notified changes" were being exploited by entities here at the expense of my well being.  Accordingly, I felt compelled to delete my personal musings from the (laughably entitled) "Private Messages" component of this site now, to mitigate further harm being caused to me......and my friends.

As an autist, of some 50+ years standing, I have learnt that WE cannot be happy and healthy if we allow OURSELVES to be bullied and harangued by people who proclaim to "know all" or by people who proclaim to indefatigably "protect all."

Personally, I am confident in my own assertion that I merely hold "my own opinion" on all matters.  I believe that all other opinions are equally valid, and worthy of expression, without being attacked, belittled or demanded to be justified or explained via 3rd party authorities.  That sort of nonsense stifles free expression.....and "crushes" the type of "chat" that some of us value here?!

So.....in short......I'm back.....wiser....safer.....and always hyper-vigilant.  I am open to re-establishing PM's with people, but will be SUBSTANTIALLY more guarded about what (and how) I express myself there.  Prying eyes there, can become "members" here, at a later date!

Assuring you all of my best intentions towards all humans here.

    Number - (again)

  • I'm a bit wary of saying T Y again.......in light of the latest news from the "Moderation Team" about repeating phrases or words.  So I'll say "ta very much."

  • Yeah true, you are right. It was used in simpler times when people were less suspicious of each other I guess. Sad how times have changed.
