preparing request for reasonable adjustments at work - found a way - would like to share :-)

Not sure if this is going to be helpful for anyone however would like to share it in the hope that it may be.

Hi All

I've just filled in a workplace stress questionnaire which was pretty extensive.  In the answers I gave I related to my autism and the general workplace.  I found it was far too complicated for me to analyse easily.  It went beyond my capability to manage this as I "couldn't see the wood for the trees" and some of the answers by their nature hit upon painful experiences that I struggle to cope with

I uploaded my answers as a word document to ChatGPT  and asked it to analyse what the main stressful problems identified in my answers were in each of the management standards (Demands, Control, Support (manager), Support (colleagues), Role, Relationships and Change) .  It did this quickly and helped me see patterns and threads better.

I then asked it to combine these analyses into one response.

It did this in the form of a letter that I may provide to my employer requesting them.

I then edited and adapted the letter to better represent the needs that my initial answers to the stress questionnaire didn't "pick-up".

That's how far I've got and for the first time for a while feel like I'm getting somewhere...

I have a document that asks in reasonable terms for reasonable adjustments that has legal backing.  This is a useful tool :-)

Now to build up the courage to present it...
