I have been on the ESA (Employment and Support Allowance) since 2017 when I first got to the United Kingdom and my last assessment health checkup was back in June 2024 which resulted in them keeping me on the ESA. I'm aware that I can also be on universal credit however I'm living with family members so I don't have to worry about extra living costs, rent and mortgage. Even living costs in 2024/25 are doubled than ever before.
I just got off the phone with the job centre regards getting appointment regards job hunting, and been informed that the employment and support Allowance (ESA) is being replaced by universal credit. Via fast Google, it seems that they have been rolling it out since early 2024 and ends in December 2025, said that I should get a brown letter, and since then I haven't got a letter and my last name starts with C and so at this point after 13 to 14 months I should have by now. However, I did have an assessment health checkup back in June 2024 as I mentioned, so maybe I'm already on the new system for the ESA.
So anyone else going down that road? ESA is rolling out to universal credit or what?
I still need to get my PIP going also, it's something that I have been holding back for years, even though I'm looking for a job. I should still be on PIP.
