For a variety of reasons it is time for me to stop posting here, and also to stop using the P.M. system.
For reasons less connnected with my ego and more becuase of the stupidly large friends list I have acquired, doing the "Irish Goodbye" (which I'd prefer) isn't really a option.
I set out to P.M. all the friends who I either care about or who have expressed care towards me, effectively to thank them for the little bits of joy, reassurance, laughter, etc that their P.M's have brought me. It seemed "the right thing to do" and I have managed about five in 2 days but there is still more than twenty to do!!
JUST in case I fail to complete that task adeqautely, I've created this thread where
1. Anyone in my friends group who deosnt get a good by P.M can clearly see there was nothing personal, no failing in you, I had too many people to write to than I allocated time to it in.
2. I can say goodby to all the interesting and very real peoeple who didn't make it on to my friends list, but I may wish they had.
3. Although I've now said all I need or intend to, if anyone has anything they wish to say, and for me to read, this is probably a convenient place to do that.
