What Podcasts do people listen to?

Simple enough title.

I listen to The Rest is Politics, History of England and Pax Britannica, but content from them has been drying up so i'm shopping for new pods to download. Let me know what you enjoy!

  • Been listening to podcasts since Oct 14th 2007, so you could say I was an early adopter, and hooked from day one! Many have come and gone in that time, the first podcast I mentioned has been the one constant throughline, a dependable friend over 17 years so far (in good times and bad)  and my favourite of all. Podcasts are such comforting rituals while navigating our challenging lives.

  •  I wonder would you enjoy some of the ones Paul McGann has narrated on historical figures and situations. 'Great Dictators' is one, I think he's also about to start one on Titanic. Kind of in that 'explore history' realm and he has such a soothing voice for listening to in any case.

  • Doctor who podcasts: Radio Free Skaro, Strangers in Space, Lazy Doctor Who, 42 to Doomsday, The Moment, the Big Finish podcast, the Official DW podcast, The Memory Cheats, and a few others

    Blake's 7 related: Space Fall

    True Crime: Someone Knows Something

    Arts and philosophy: Weird Studies

    Comedy/chat: Pappy's Flatshare Slamdown, Pappy's House Meeting

Northern Exposure related: The Alaskan Riviera, The Voice of the Last Frontier

Grange Hill related: Sausage on a Fork

1970s/1980s nostalgia related: Peggy Mount's Calamity Hour

Others: A Podcast to the Curious (M.R. James related), The Soundtrack Show, The Cabot Cove Confab, The columbo Confab, Preternatural Investigations (musings on the broader nature of 'reality', with a mesmerising hauntology-style soundtrack), The Haunted Generation Radio Show

  • I've never listened to one! Isn't The Rest is Politics' the one with Rory Stewart and Alistair Campbell?
