What happens if one NATO member attacks anohter?

As the title says what happens if one NATO member attacks another? WIth Trump threatening Denmark over Greenland and Panama over the canal, what would and should other NATO members do? Personally I think they could kick America out of the alliance, Trump is threatening Canada too, albeit with serious economic sanctions, but is this any less an act of war than a military option? What does he want Canada for anyway?

People think it's all just noise and that he won't do any of these things once in office, I'm not sure I believe that, I think there's every chance he will.

  • Most of it is exaggerated. It's like the quote, from a 1962 John Wayne film, "When the Legend is true - Print the Legend!"

The Media just wants to hyperbole EVERYTHING. As if we're all on an Aeroplane crash-landing. (AAAAGH! WE'RE GONNA DIE!!!!!) The mud on the wall no longer sticks.

Our only threat comes from the TV.

  • I’ve been really stressed out by this.

I can’t believe the US media have been pandering to this instead of saying it’s insane. I very much hope there are serious people left in the US figuring out how to remove Trump but I have my doubts.

Would US military really accept an order to attack an ally?

If they attempted to tariff Denmark to coerce Denmark to handing over territory (against the wishes of its inhabitants) then all hell would break out - an EU / US tariff war and god knows what else.

You’ll note that Musk and Trump are both attacking US allies, not Russia or China. And Trump is saying nothing about the promise he was elected on - reducing prices.

I am absolutely disgusted with the USA right now. Putin and Xi must be laughing.
