Why won't it snow? Like they said it would?

And smells.

Yeah, the Motorways, here, got hit; fierce. Fortunately, I only had to drive locally, today, and I got up; before Nine. (miracle)

Weather does evoke memories.

For some reason it's become really important to me that the promised snow materialised. I think its to do with remembering the very snowy start to Jan 1985 (and, still a child, moving house during it) and wanting that pleasing echo exactly 40 years on. Well, last night, some very small amount (nothing like what we had back then) did settle in my back garden, and something in me relaxed. Snow had settled and stayed. Not much, but enough. Leaving the house this morning, I saw lots of hill snow on the horizon, so that was all rather lovely. 

Some of us would like to open our gardens to families of snow people too!

It's snow discrimination that is - why should the mountains get it all when the rest of the country has the same right!

There's snow on the mountains and everybody else I know has it, my son's cats are really freaked out by it and are standing by the back door looking at it and meowing 'Whaaat?'
