Hobbies

Hey guys, I’ve noticed recently that since I’ve stopped working full time I’ve just been scrolling on tiktok aimlessly, and I am soooo bored. I used to love reading at school, and have been trying tSobget back into it but I am struggggggling. Does anyone have any cool hobbies?? I’m looking for suggestions. I’ve tried crocheting and sewing and stuff but I don’t find it engaging enough honestly Sob

I love reading, always have, and now I'm retired I have lots of time for it. I have a Kindle subscription which gives me access to thousands of books, and it suggests ones I might like which helps me discover authors whose work I haven't read before. I've recently read some novels set in the first and second world wars, as it's interesting to find out more about what life was like for people during that time.

I like some video games, although I'm quite discerning about what I play and find some of them a bit boring. My favourites are Fallout 4, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Hogwarts Legacy and Sims 4. I enjoy building and decorating houses and community buildings in Sims 4, more than playing the characters' lives. I also have Pure Chess on my XBox and enjoy a game of chess against the AI occasionally.

In the last few months I have also been doing some free online courses through the Open University Open Learn website. There are lots of short courses to choose from in all areas of learning.

I hope you find some things that engage you.
