I struggle with this part of social media

I have no followers and very happy I am about it too, but then it could be that it's because I have no social media where people could follow me.

There is no wrong or right, just personal choice.

If you don't want to follow every random post by the people then don't follow them - easy!

To my knowledge there is no expectation of you doing this, just a vague hope by people that they are interesting enough for others to follow them and see pictures of every meal they eat or every random thing their pet does.
